NSP grants making neighborhoods more livable in Margate.

In utilizing roughly $2.1 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) dollars to rehabilitate run down homes in the city, the Margate Grants Office announced that 12 homes will be available to qualified applicants in October to lease then purchase.
_______________

Applicants must meet qualification requirements the day they move in, said head grants writer, Mary White, and applicants selected will be offered a one-year lease term with a three-year option.

While White said her office would like to start qualifying applicants as soon as possible, the qualifying of applicants too early could prove counterproductive, as some may find jobs in the meantime or, to the contrary, fall below required income levels prior to their scheduled move-in date.

To learn more about qualifying for NSP homes in October, call the Margate Grants Office at 954-973-0300.
