Police and Firefighters Vehicles

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Firefighters want more money? And the department wants to buy a firetruck when the rest of us are broke? Will taxpayers be willing to buy me a new car too?

The seniors did not get a cost of living nor did people that have pensions.

What about the Family trying to make ends meet every day not every week anymore.

And as far as the police,

Why do we constantly BUY cars to replace the vehicles that they take home? You see them all over the place in the City. The officers are in regular dress clothes, they park the vehicles at their houses. They even go shopping and transport their family. The argument that the Community is safer is nonsense. This does not deter anything.

Are we paying insurance and gas for them ?

Have you purchased a vehicle, do you have any idea of the cost?

How much would be saved if the Depts. stopped these expenses?

I do not have anything given to me

Do you ?

- Margate Resident
