It’s great living in a city that offers bulk pickup every month. That is unless your neighbors put their junk to the curb weeks before the pickup date.
As part of a 2009 deal with Waste Management, and the combined efforts of city officials and Margate resident Le Peerman, Margate now enjoys 12 bulk pickups a year, which could change if Margate residents abuse the privilege and make the city their own personal junkyard.
_______________
You don’t have to be broke or poor to put discarded junk on the curb weeks prior to bulk pickup, you just have to be inconsiderate of your neighbors, said one resident.
For Margate residents unfamiliar with bulk pickup dates, click here. If you have questions about dates or areas, call Waste Management at (954) 974-7500 or download this map that lists bulk pickup days by area.
The more Margate looks like a ghetto, the more embarassment we suffer as a city. As a good neighbor, homeowner or investor, please keep this in mind and put your junk to the curb the day before the scheduled pickup in your area – not the week.
