In December, the Sun-sentinel published a video interview with Florida Governor, Charlie Crist, about his dealings with fraudster and ponzi scheme elitist,Scott Rothstein, a South Florida attorney who bilked Florida taxpayers out of millions. Rothstein donated $2.8 million to Republican concerns in 2006, much of which hasn't been rightfully returned to the taxpayers to whom the money belongs.
_______________

Although Sentinel interviewers were poignant in questioning Crist regarding his affiliation, friendship and lack of suspicion on where Rothstein accumulated his wealth, a character flaw—even more revealing than making political allies of swindler millionaires—may have reared its ugly head during the interview:

Florida Governor, Charlie Crist, may be lying.

According to experts on profiling, body language and facial expressions, Charlie Crist damaged his character miserably during the interview—not in how he answered questions posed by sentinel journalists, but rather in the involuntary ways he expressed himself physically.

Crist batted his eyes frequently during the interview, nervously tossed and curled his hands, crossed his arms and jerked uncomfortably for the majority of the four-minute interview.

In addition, Crist looked to the left and up when called upon to answer questions such as ‘How did Scott Rothstein become such a big supporter of yours?’ and ‘Where do you think Rothstein’s money came from?’ – signaling Florida voter’s that their governor might not be telling the whole truth.

Upon the sentinel journalist beginning the interview with: “I think this might be a good time to jump into Scott Rothstein,” the governor immediately pursed his lips. Then, when asked how he met Rothstein, Crist scratched and pulled on his ear, signs which, according to Mark Frank, a leading authority on facial expressions and deception, are linked to fear, distrust, distress and other emotions related to deception, reports NPR (National Public Radio).

Crist said he didn't recall how he met Scott Rothstein, "to be perfectly honest," said the Florida Governor, the man who attended Rothstein's wedding at the Versace Mansion in Miami and who Rothstein threw a birthday party for at the Breakers in Palm Beach when Crist turned 52.

Crist’s eyebrow movement may also indicate deception according to Frank, as the governor pulled his eyebrows together and down when asked ‘How did he [Rothstein] link up with your [his] future?”

As the November election for Florida’s U.S. Senate seat nears, the character of the two GOP hopefuls for the seat: Crist, and former GOP House Speaker, Marco Rubio, is seemingly up for grabs.

Rubio, a Miami-born lobbyist and unscrupulous PAC fund raider (not raiser), has spent untold thousands of taxpayer dollars on travel, political consultants and cronyism, while Crist, sliding in Rasmussen polls rapidly, has turned Florida’s once thriving taxpayer base to mush, a result of poor governmental oversight, a lack of fiduciary responsibility and a track record of catering to special interest.
