No Murders in Margate 'they wrote'
Still no homicides in the bedroom town.

There hasn’t been a single murder in Margate for at least five years, according to crime statistics released by the FBI in 2007. But robbery is up in Margate, and so is arson by 200 percent.
Robbery, a crime by which someone takes property by force or threat of force, as in a mugging, has increased by almost 40 percent in Margate in 2007. Cops say an increase in robberies often coincide with a downturn in the economy.
Domestic violence and forcible sex offenses are down while both motor vehicle theft and simple assault are up over seven percent. Arson rose from one incident in 2006 to three in 2007.
Margate Crime Analyst, Steve Miner, said that 2008 figures will be released any day now, at which time MargateNews.net will update this report.
