Margate Teachers of the Month - May 2013
ABUNDANT LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
Some of the attributes that best describe Mrs. Coyle are industrious, diligent, punctual and energetic. Her 23 years of faithful service at Abundant Life Christian Academy sets her
apart as a veteran instructor and person of excellence. It is with great happiness that we nominate Mrs. Coyle as the teacher of the month. Abundant Life Christian Academy loves Mrs. Coyle.
ATLANTIC WEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
It is with great pleasure that we announce Ms. Reeves as teacher of the month for the A.S.D. cluster at Atlantic West Elementary School. She exemplifies the fine qualities of a master teacher. She positively manages behavior while teaching each student at his or her individual level. All students in her class have made positive gains in academics and social skills. She is always quick to provide positive reinforcement and support, not only to her students but to staff as well. Ms. Reeves brightens the path of those around her. Ms. Reeves is an asset to the A.S.D. cluster, as well as the general education staff at Atlantic West Elementary School. She interacts with eth general population and is always there when a helping hand is needed. There is nothing Ms. Reeves will not do to help out a student. She is a dedicated, loving and beloved teacher. Whether she voluntarily misses her lunch, rides a school bus home to assist a student or stays late to complete her work, she does so with a positive attitude and a smile. She is always brainstorming new and innovative ways to reach all students. Ms. Reeves is very deserving of this honor and Atlantic West Elementary School is proud to have her represent their A.S.D staff tonight.
7th & 8th Grade
HEBREW ACADEMY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Every day Samantha Markell brings to the classroom a passion for her students and her profession. As an alumna of Hebrew Academy Community School, Mrs. Markell has returned to share with her successors the learning side of the classroom. She removes boredom from eth mundane and adds excitement into the basic skills to create an environment in which learning is comfortable, expected and accomplished. Mrs. Markell is often found helping students with basic school work, extra- curricular activities and just being there when needed. Every school and every student needs a teacher like Mrs. Markell.

MARGATE MIDDLE SCHOOL
I’ve improved a lot more in 7th grade than I ever imagined. It’s been a roller coaster and each subject a ride, but the ride I’ve mostly learned from is Mr. Joseph’s reading ride. With every lesson, chapter and test, I’ve learned something new. It’s form learning “Main Idea” all eth way to vocabulary. Ms. Joseph makes sure my seatbelt is on tight and I stay on track. I have improved the most in reading than in any other subject. All the teachers are great. The y teach me something every day, plus they explain things and break them down to the basics, but if I had to pick any teacher that helps me out the most, understands me and makes sure I am on board with everything, it would be Ms. Joseph. (As written by Student of the Month Teandra Nelson)

teachers were awarded certificates of recognition and various useful items. Local businesses contributed lunch for two at Fusion Latin Cuisine
